January 6th, 2009

Woke up today with Monica saying that her chest hurt. I gave her a blessing and it seems that she is ok now. She hasn’t been coughing and has her energy back. We’ll see tomorrow. I did do sniping trades this morning, but it still was not good today. We are now down to 29k. I can’t believe that this is happening. I am going to be paper trading for the rest of the week.
School was fun, although we got stuck trying to get there. Monica drove and got stuck driving out of the driveway. I had to get out and shovel around the car and then I had to push. At least we made it to our classes.
My first class was Tai Chi. The teacher was late too, but when he came he got started right away. He told us some things about the history of Tai Chi and I think that it’s becoming one of my favorites. The moves were so fluid and smooth, yet very powerful. I would like to do some research and see what I can learn about this martial art. My Pilates teacher was in there and she remembered me. She will also be my powertone and power yoga teacher tomorrow.
I then met up with Monica and ran up four flights of stairs and went to Student Success. I was the only Senior there and instantly I felt confident. We did a couple of get to know you games and I won. The game was bingo, but instead of numbers on a card, it was emotions. I had to go around the room and see what emotion people felt that week and if I got bingo I would get a prize. Well I went to a couple of people in my table and it made a good line. So I then would go up to someone else and say, “Hey did you feel Disgusted at all this week?” They would then say, “Uhh… yeah I think I did earlier this week…” With a wink and a nod I quickly got the bingo and won a bag of dark chocolate M&M’s. I gave them to Monica of course after class.
We then ran to our next class, but not before heating up some chimichangas. We ate them on the way to class. I had organic chemistry and he just went through the syllabus. I just read the chapter while he was talking. I wanted to tell everyone my experience, but I knew that it wasn’t the right time. I’ll put it up on the board or something next week.
After class I walked Monica to her class and then checked the school to see if there was a way to video tape the class. They only asked if I had a disability. Of course I said no, so they told me that they couldn’t. I was disappointed because I can’t afford one right now. Oh well.
I went up to the library to study and saw a banquet going on below me. I got so hungry and tired at the same time that I took a ten minute nap. I was able to finish chapter one and then it was time to meet up with Monica. We then walked to the car and luckily it had been sunny today so all the snow was turning into slush. We drove home and I shoveled the driveway. That was a workout and a half.
We ate a small bowl of cereal and then Monica had to run off to work. I tried to workout, but then my home teacher called. I couldn’t finish the workout in time so I just went back to the computer and got the finances worked out on Quicken.
Young Men’s was starting soon so I decided to use the Honda, but then realized that the tire was flat. I started to walk and the Stoffers stopped and gave me a ride. They are so nice. We had a little planning meeting and ate pizza. Afterwards we played basketball. At first I didn’t really want to, but then Brother Soper told me to be on one side and he would be on the other. I couldn’t argue, so I played. It was SO fun! I loved it! Once the girls were done with their activity, they joined us. While I was trying to get the girls to play I started to harass Aimee Burton and Tara McCaig. Aimee was being sassy and started to snap her fingers in a Z formation so I was like, “WHAT?! Don’t make me snap my fingers in a Z formation, head rotation; shut up girl you’ve just been dissed!” (Yeah I learned that from Monica’s coworker. It is one of the most hilarious things). All the girls just busted up laughing.
I finally got home and found a package had been delivered. It was a power supply for Blake’s computer that blew up last year. Now I’ll be able to fix it. I have to remember to send in the rebate.
Well, way passed my bed time. It’s 10pm
